The BPN was first established in 2003 to connect SA buy and sell side equity market participants for electronic order routing. This offering has since evolved and adopted the globally accepted FIX protocol standard, through a strategic partnership with leading FIX engine provider Cameron Systems.
According to Peresys Director Ray Pretorius, 'The Peresys BPN has historically enabled connectivity and messaging between our customers, and over the past year we have added centrally hosted applications for IOI’s, Order Routing, DMA, Allocations and most recently Single Stock Futures trading.'
'We are committed to bringing more and more BPN based solutions to the market, thus leveraging our investment in a world class infrastructure and team, as well as an ever growing connected trading community', adds Pretorius.
Peresys has a highly skilled and experienced BPN Services team that manages and maintains this environment. The team ensures that all connections are monitored during market operating hours across three time zones, that all services are running at the specified times and that new implementations happen as speedily and efficiently as possible.
The success of Peresys’ South African FIX Hub, housed within the BPN, which includes a unique outsourced FIX engine offering, has paved the way for the recent launch of Peresys' London-based FIX Service.
