The Peresys CSI initiative was established with the mission statement to make a meaningful contribution to develop opportunities for all South Africans' right to a better life in our country. In conjunction with our clients and through partnerships with specialist charity organizations we have decided to direct our efforts and funds towards projects or initiatives that have the potential to make a meaningful and lasting difference in combating the number one cause of stress, emigration and negative sentiment in our country - crime.
Who we supportPeresys is partnering with the Mike Thomson Change a Life Trust established by Computershare SA to sponsor anti-crime and crime victim support initiatives. The beneficiary of all the funds raised will be the DNA Project, a crime prevention program and Computershare has generously pledged to match all funds raised on the day, rand for rand. The DNA Project was established in 2004 to help develop and expand SA's National DNA Criminal Intelligence Database (NDCID). DNA profiling and the expansion of National Criminal Intelligence Databases is becoming more prevalent worldwide for the solution of unsolved crimes. The logic behind expanding a National DNA Database, is that the more DNA profiles that are entered onto the NDCID, the more likely a “hit” is going to be made, thereby creating an "exponential catch net" for criminals. The more crime stains and DNA profiles of suspects that are entered onto a NDCID, the more likely a suspect will be convicted for not only the crime for which he has been arrested, but for all the other crimes where his DNA profile has been collected. Research into the SA situation showed that the impact of DNA profiling in SA is limited due to a combination of factors such as insufficient DNA Profiling equipment, inadequate laboratory capacity, outdated legislation, overwhelming caseloads, and a lack of training. The DNA Project was thus borne, its aim being to support the Forensic Science Lab with real and “tangible” assistance through an “end to end” process. |
The golf day will be ‘sold’ on a sponsorship basis; our partners and clients will be able to buy four balls and there are other sponsorship opportunities. ALL the proceeds from the sponsorships will be donated to the DNA Project. The evening function will be hosted by Graeme Joffe and an auction to raise more money will be conducted by Dave Ravenscroft.
The Pick-a-4-ball will entitle you to enter one or more four balls. The Pick-a-4-ball package will include the following:
Price = R2 800.00 per 4 ball entered, donated to the charity.
A goodie bag would consist of golfing accessories used by our golfers on the day and could include a towel, a pitch repairer, a golf ball or anything else you could think of. All goodie bags must be branded and delivered to the Peresys offices, complete, by no later than Monday the 25th of August. Provision should be made for 120 goodie bags. Only one goodie bag sponsor will be allowed.
Price = R2 500.00 donated to the charity.
As a banner sponsor you would be allowed to place your banners at strategic points all along the course.
Price = R500.00 (a banner) to be donated to the charity
As a brand-a-ball sponsor you would hand out on the day of the event golf balls carrying your company brand. Provision should be made for 120 golf balls or golf sleeves and must be delivered to the Peresys office, complete, by no later than Monday, 25th of August 2008.
Price = R2 000.00 donated to the charity.
Only two sponsors are allowed and will be booked on a first come first served basis. You will own the hole and will be allowed to serve refreshments to our participants and brand the hole to your liking.
Price = R2 500.00 donated to the charity.
We are looking for prize donations to be handed out at the prize giving function. We are catering for a 4 ball alliance, 2 scores to count on all holes. Thus, all prizes needs to be donated as 4 of a kind.
This is a unique way of challenging your competitor or maybe another department within your organisation. We are accepting donations and you can challenge another team or organisation to beat-or-match your donation. Peresys will, on your behalf, extend the challenge to whomever you elect and keep you updated to their response. Remember, all donations will be passed on to the selected charity.
